Your must be asking: Will you take it?
Is it easy? What’s the tax benefit?
WILL WE TAKE IT?
We’re not sure. Please provide us with a description, and some photos of the product as well as photos of how it is packed ( if every pallets identical, no need to send us 24 pictures) . Also, the more specific the product, the easier it is if there is any possibility of a repeat donation.
IS IT EASY TO DONATE TO WASTE TO CHARITY?
YES! Even for the very first donation, we pride ourselves in being able to answer you quickly and effectively. Once we have an ongoing relationship, nothing could be easier. If the economics work out, we maybe able to provide truckload transport ( Not a moving company- a freight carrier Tractor trailer who will need to be loaded..)
WHAT’S MY TAX BENEFIT?
We’re not sure! The rules are different for Sole Proprietiers, LLC’s, S corporations and C Corporations. Section 170 e (3) iii is a good place to start, and ALWAYS ASK YOUR TAX PROFESSIONAL. Not only are we unable to give you that advice, we are specifically prohibited to! We can, if asked share experiences we have had, but oncecase might have no bearing on another.
WHO PAYS FREIGHT?
Sometimes, we do! ( Particularly in the case of repeat donors with the same types of items ) The costs of freight is also tax deductible, and we may ask you to provide freight to us so that your first donation can get out of our way in your warehouse right away. If all goes well, and the economics support it, we might be able to find a use close enough to your facility where we can arrange transportation.
Business Donation Process
We work to make the donation process as smooth as possible for our donors. If you have questions about any part of this process, or if you would like to discuss a donation, please contact us below.

How are the items packaged? We need to be able to transport via tractor trailer items without damage. Palletized, boxed, crated items, are all fine.If loaded by slip-sheet, single SKU only.
Is this a repeat/ongoing donation? If so, this makes it easier for our partner orgs, and gives us greater flexibility for freight rates, even if it’s just once per year!
What are the shipping options? You ship to us, or we can arrange freight, if economical – we are in Florida
After an initial consultation, we’ll work with you to coordinate shipping and document donations. Donors in our network often receive 72-hour service, with three business days from contact to clearance.

Internal Revenue Code Section 170(e)(3) provides a “special rule” that allows certain businesses—primarily C corporations—to claim an enhanced tax deduction for donating inventory and equipment. While most inventory donations are limited to the cost basis, this section allows for a higher deduction if specific criteria are met.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION FOR NON-C CORPS
While C corporations get the broadest benefit, Section 170(e)(3)(C) extends similar “enhanced” benefits to other businesses (like S-corps or partnerships) specifically for food inventory, provided it is “apparently wholesome food.” Section 170(e)(3)(C)
If you wish to claim tax deductions for donated inventory, you will need to file IRS Form 8283 with us within two business days, detailing information about your organization and in-kind donation. A copy of IRS Form 8283 can be found below.
